~ The Cabin ~

a few weeks ago, before wiring, drywall, and insulation
stairs, wiring, insulation and drywall going in. the hot
water heater will be under the stairs, as well as the
plumbing/ducting for a stacking washer dryer that will be accessible
from the kitchen.
Gibson in the kitchen. there are two built in areas on the right side,
backing up to the stairs and living room, where we will have a
stacking w/d and the fridge. a sliding barn door will keep that wall
from looking cluttered.the kitchen is going to be full
blown rustic cabin style, with open shelves and hand built
work tables in place of stock cabinets.
the boys' bunk area, when there will be built in beds along the
wall.  each bed has it's own light for reading and lighting up
the loft when the sun goes down. the builder uses formaldehyde-free
insulation and is meticulous in detail.
We close next month, so things will move really fast now. Septic and plumbing going in this week, drywall is almost finished and ready for painting. Craig and I went down and painted the kitchen and living room drywall on Saturday. It is really looking great. I forgot my camera, so pictures will come next week. We couldn't be happier with the way it is coming together. It's so nice to have builders who enjoy their work and it really shows in the quality.
a sweet little bass that i caught and released at the
spring fed lake in the hardwood preserve. i'll be
spending a lot of time here.

Happy Tuesday, sweet friends!
